As an independent consultant for research in various issues in Timor-Leste, Mira has established her own small business in sewing and employed 5 local women. She has a community development background from her tertiary education. She also works in gender development areas and is committed to empowering women in Timor-Leste. During her fellowship in the United States, Mira hopes to learn about gender equality and empowerment of women to participate in entrepreneurship. Upon returning from the Community Solutions Program, Mira will develop her small business and encourage other women to be economically independent.
